On our last day there, we went back to MGM Studios, but this time I made sure to bring my camera. I really liked the architecture, so I managed to take as many shots of the buildings as I could. Plus, I managed to find the "live camera" that shows pictures on the web. |
| After our day at The Studios, we went back to the room to get ready for a really, really fun
night partying at Pleasure Island! I was real excited this time because I could finally get into
Mannequins. Mo offered to buy all my drinks that night, so I had my fill... but not enough for me
to get drunk. It turned out that Mannequins was having a bartending contest and the winner would
go on to a national contest. It was interesting watching them flip glasses and bottles and make
their own drinks. We went to the Adventurers Club next and "watched" the show... of course, you
don't really watch the show, you are the show... til midnight, then went out and collected
confetti at "New Years." We went into 8-Trax and watched Schoolhouse Rock and played Gyruss and
sat around and talked (mainly about the seventies... go figure). We then went back to Mannequins
and the contest was over with and the turntable was going. Whoooooo.... what a light system! And
that turntable's FUN! Wayne sat on the side while we danced, but every minute or so we'd wave to
him as he went by (relatively speaking). I can't wait to take my girlfriend there, I KNOW she'll
love it. The next morning, we loaded up the car and came home... alas... til next time. |
