On Wednesday we stopped in at the Disney Information Center in Ocala, Florida and discovered that some rooms at the All-Star Sports resort had opened up for the whole time we were going to be there. So, as a late birthday gift, I got the rooms to stay in and Rick gave me the money it would have cost us at a cheaper motel off-property. We were happy to be on the property and checked into the "football" part of the All-Star Sports Resort. Happy Birthday, Rick!
As the sun sets behind the Dolphin and Swan resorts... After resting for just a few minutes, we headed off to the Boardwalk to enjoy the night life.
We shopped around for a bit, looking at all there was to see and then got a priority seating at Spoodles. A dolphin fish on top of the same named resort building.
Rick proudly shows off his new vibrating beeper that will inform him when our table is ready! Spoodles was a good dining experience. It seemed a bit crowded, lots of tables, but that was our only "complaint." Our server was excellent as was the wine and dinner. I had the grilled salmon and Rick had the chicken with cous-cous. It was his first time eating cous-cous and I wanted him to really enjoy it. Their selection was limited, but offered a good variety, from beef to fish to chicken to vegetable meals. I personally enjoy Mediterranean food, so it was all good to me.
Mmm... gotta love that cous-cous!
